Hog/Spud Island Delta Center

The Port of Stockton, working in conjunction with the California Delta Habitat & Education Foundation, is donating approximately 70 acres of land to be used for the formation of the proposed Hog/Spud Island Delta Center. Plans call for the center to include a visitor/conference center, a nature reserve with interpretive nature walks, bird-watching lookouts, wetlands, a re-created Native American village, a camping/recreation area, and an erosion demonstration site. The site is located approximately 6 miles downstream of the Port on the San Joaquin River and will be open to the public.
