One of our greatest assets is the Stockton area and those who live in it. The Port has become an integral part of our local community through transparency and giving back. Boggs Community Farm

The Port is a major sponsor of PUENTES, local nonprofit organization committed to creating positive change in Stockton. The Boggs Tract Community Farm is a 2.5 acre plot of land located in a low income neighborhood adjacent to the Port. Customers of this program receive a box of produce monthly for a fee, and are expected to help maintain the farm and participate in general operations. The Farm offers the opportunity for neighborhood families to learn gardening techniques and to become shareholders in the farm. In addition to family plots, PUENTES is developing the farm as a sustainable business which will bring job opportunities to the community. Farm projects include the production of vegetable and fruit crops, eggs and fish, which helps residents develop improved dietary habits.

Coastal Clean Up Day

The Port of Stockton was an official sponsor of Coastal Cleanup Day, partnering with the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County, and the California Coastal Commission in a day dedicated to cleaning up local waterways. It was a great success as Port employees and other volunteers removed thousands of pounds of debris and cleaned up a mile-long stretch of Burns Cutoff.
